Full planning permission secured for new homes in Watford

Our role

• The development will provide nine new homes on a former school site within Watford. The homes will be located in a highly sustainable location, making efficient use of the vacant previously developed site.
• Turley provided planning services including seeking pre-application advice followed by the preparation and submission of a full planning application.
• Developed a successful relationship with the Planning Officer so that matters could be addressed in a timely manner, including the negotiation of a TRO under a Unliteral Undertaking. 
• Turley will continue to work with Herts Living Ltd on the project on the discharge of planning conditions.

Results

• Turley provided a comprehensive planning service throughout the entirety of the project, from pre-application discussions through to the determination of the application.
• Through early research, Turley advised on information requirements to minimise planning conditions, resulting in no pre-commencement conditions and only eight conditions in total on the permission.  This will help Herts Living start work on site quickly.
• The homes will provide high-quality living accommodation in a great location within Watford.
