In memory of Stuart Irvine - £14k raised to support Guide Dogs

In November 2022, we lost a dear friend, co-owner and colleague, Stuart Irvine. Stuart was a strong supporter of Guide Dogs for the Blind and so we are delighted to confirm that our co-owners, clients and contacts have organised and attended a series of events to raise money for his favourite charity.

These began on 1 July with a series of walks which brought people together across our locations. Mam Tor in the Peak District was one of Stuart’s favourite walks and over 80 co-owners joined members of Stuart’s family in remembering him and raising money for Guide Dogs UK.

One of Stuart’s hobbies was to enjoy a round or two of golf with friends, colleagues and clients. We were pleased to come together on Friday 22 September with Stuart’s family, colleagues and friends to remember him through various golf related activities – a round of golf, golf lessons and a putting competition. We welcomed volunteers from Guide Dogs UK who shared more about the charity and their experiences with us.

Thank you for all the support and generous donations. We have valued supporting Guide Dogs and thank the volunteers and wonderful team for their time and support.

We are delighted to reach £7,035 through Just Giving donations which will be matched funded by our Turley Charitable Trust and brings the total to over £14,000. The donation will make a tremendous difference as it costs on average £13,000 to fund each working guide dog partnership from qualification to retirement.

Well done everyone and thank you!
