In memory of Stuart Irvine

In November 2022, we lost a dear friend, co-owner and colleague, Stuart Irvine.

Stuart was a strong supporter of Guide Dogs for the Blind and so we are delighted to confirm that our co-owners have organised a series of events to raise money for his favourite charity. These began on 1 July with a series of walks which brought people together across our locations.  Mam Tor in the Peak District was one of Stuart’s favourite walks and over 80 co-owners joined members of Stuart’s family in remembering him and raising money for Guide Dogs UK.

We welcome your continued support and if you are able to make a donation please do so here.

One of Stuart’s hobbies was to enjoy a round or two of golf with friends, colleagues and clients.  We are pleased to come together on Friday 22 September with Stuart’s family, colleagues and friends to remember him through various golf related activities – a round of golf, golf lessons and a putting competition. We will welcome volunteers from Guide Dogs UK who will share more about the charity and their experiences with us.

As some will know, Stuart studied at Newcastle University and in 1997 secured a degree in Town & Country Planning. As a lasting legacy for Stuart, we have secured agreement with the university to offer two bursaries for potential students. We were pleased to hear that interviews will be taking place on Friday (a happy coincidence) at Newcastle University to identify students who could benefit from one of two bursaries that we are offering in memory of Stuart.  Please see more information here.

Finally , we are pleased to continue to sponsor a guide dog puppy, Amber, through its training which was something that Stuart used to support with his family. If you would like more information about sponsoring a puppy please visit the Guide Dogs Sponsor a Puppy web page.

Stu, your legacy, passion for life (and golf) and supporting younger generations to develop their career in planning and development lives on.

All your friends and colleagues at Turley
