Turley recruits Head of Environmental Impact Assessment

Turley has appointed Andy Ricketts to head up its national Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) service.

Andy joins from WSP where he was a Technical Director and national lead for EIA. He has been responsible for EIA on some of the UK’s biggest planning applications, both in terms of floorspace and land take, as well as providing expert witness services.

Andy is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) steering group which has led to him co-authoring and contributing to national EIA guidance. He is an advocate of proportionality and actively contributes to the technical debate on emerging practice.

Commenting on the appointment, Colin Morrison, Director and Head of Sustainability at Turley, said:

“Andy is a recognised leader in EIA and brings a wealth of experience in the management of complex and high profile projects. We are delighted to welcome him to Turley as a key part of our investment in our EIA capability.”

Speaking about his new role Andy said:

“I am very excited to start my role at Turley and to grow the existing EIA service offer. I am looking forward to helping to apply EIA across the project lifecycle and particularly as a tool during the project design phase where it can deliver real benefits for clients.”
