Three new appointments across Turley’s Heritage and Townscape service

We have strengthened our Heritage and Townscape offer with three new appointments across London, Birmingham and Manchester in recent months.

Joe Raper has been appointed as Senior Consultant in our Manchester office. Joe joins from ID Planning with over five years’ experience providing specialist heritage advice for a range of clients including multinational commercial and residential property companies. Bringing extensive knowledge of the history and heritage of Leeds and Yorkshire in particular, Joe will be supporting the delivery and growth of our heritage and townscape services within the north.

Further bolstering the national team, Rachel Bissell and Harry Lewis join as Consultants in Birmingham and London respectively. Rachel joins from Archaeological Research Services Ltd and Harry from The Townscape Consultancy. Both will support our team across the UK and Ireland.

The appointments add further specialist knowledge to our current national Heritage and Townscape capability,  amplifying the existing strength and depth of our service, and coming at a time of growth as we continue active recruitment. Our Heritage, Townscape & Landscape team work across a number of sectors including urban regeneration, land promotion and asset management, delivering high-profile projects for our clients. Our multi-disciplinary approach means we work closely with all our services, including our Sustainability and ESG team to help clients meet net zero commitments.

Speaking about the appointments, Marc Timlin, Head of Heritage, Townscape and Landscape said:

“I am delighted to welcome Rachel, Joe and Harry to Turley. This is an exciting time for our team, which is now 21 people strong and based in five locations across the country, providing services throughout the UK and Ireland. We have a considerable resource to dedicate to our existing and prospective clients. More than ever, the management of change in sensitive locations requires the expertise and experience that our expanding team delivers as trusted advisors to our clients.”
