Scheme to pioneer transformation of Gun Quarter approved
Turley has gained approval for St Joseph’s first major residential scheme in Birmingham.
Turley has gained approval for St Joseph’s first major residential scheme in Birmingham. The development will also contain the first tall building in the city’s Gun Quarter district.
A resolution to grant planning permission was obtained at Planning Committee on 15 February.
The development, Snow Hill Wharf, will deliver five new residential blocks varying in height from 3 - 21 storeys, alongside communal facilities and amenity areas. The scheme will deliver a significant contribution to Birmingham’s unmet housing need, providing 404 new dwellings. It is situated in a sustainable location and will trigger wider regeneration in this underutilised part of the city centre.
Our expert planning, heritage, sustainability and economics teams all provided support for the project.
Snow Hill Wharf is the latest in a number of major ‘city living’ approvals secured by Turley in Birmingham. We continue to advise on a range of projects that will create high quality places for future residents and visitors. For further information please contact Mat Jones or Charlotte Palmer.
