Continued growth for Turley’s Environmental Impact Assessment team

We have strengthened our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) service, appointing Andrew Malcomson as Associate Director and Chloe Patel as Consultant.

Andrew joins our Bristol office from Barton Willmore. He brings with him a wealth of procedural and technical experience in the delivery of high quality and proportionate EIA across the UK.

Chloe is based in London and further strengthens our reputation in robust cumulative impact assessment and supporting environmental appraisal at the plan and policy stage.

The appointments add further specialist knowledge to our existing national EIA capability, following the appointment of Andy Ricketts as head of the service in April 2018. The specialist team will continue to work alongside other our services, delivering EIA strategy and project management.

Speaking about the appointments, Head of EIA, Andy Ricketts said:

“We’re seeing increased demand for trusted EIA advisors and a growing need for EIA to be effectively used as a design tool, so I’m delighted to expand our team to cater for this changing market. Andrew and Chloe will enable us to continue with the development and delivery of commercially-focused, proportionate EIA advice and products that ultimately mitigate and improve environmental impacts. I’m very pleased to welcome Andrew and Chloe and look forward to working with them.”

Andrew Malcomson added:

“I’m delighted to be joining Turley. It is clear that the unique employee-ownership approach drives a culture of excellence and promotes industry-leading client service. I look forward to further strengthening the EIA service and working on a variety of exciting development projects, both across the South West and nationally.”
