We are providing expert Planning and Economics services for the project which will provide up to 300 residential units in a mixture of flats and terraced housing, in buildings ranging from two to six storeys in height. Alongside the residential development there will be space for 14 retail and commercial units, 340 cycle parking spaces and the creation of external hard and soft landscaping to provide key amenity spaces.
The proposed development will bring forward the much needed regeneration of a long term derelict site. The proposed use, layout, character, materials and scale of the development can be designed, in consultation with Glasgow City Council, to deliver a significant improvement to the place quality of the local area. Importantly, this will contribute a positive socio-economic impact and a net benefit, in terms of amenity space improvements in the surrounding area, for existing and proposed residents.
Associate Director, Kate Donald said:
“We are delighted to have submitted this application for the redevelopment of an under-utilised site which has lain derelict for a significant period of time. The project will provide fantastic new homes and new business space for local residents.”
Metin Gurpinar, Director at Dalesford Estates said:
"The regeneration of this area of North Glasgow, which has been neglected for too long, is great news in a time when positivity seems to be in very short supply. With the support of the community and the council it is our genuine belief that this area is about to share in the spotlight of a great city for the benefit of local residents and the wider community."
The application is expected to be considered by Glasgow City Council in the coming months.
