Due to the recent successful growth of our townscape services, we have several new positions in our national Heritage and Townscape team. These positions will form part of our specialist service in Heritage, Townscape, Landscape and Visual Assessment based in our London and/or Manchester office. These positions offer the opportunity to develop and further your career in a dynamic and vibrant consultancy practice that also includes planning, economics, design, strategic communications and sustainability services.
We are considering applicants at a variety of levels and stages in their career from Consultant level (minimum two years professional experience) through to Associate Director/Director level. All candidates should have a BA or postgraduate qualification in Urban Design, Architecture or another relevant discipline. Recognised UDG Practitioner status would be useful but is not essential.
Candidates should have skills in townscape analysis and assessment to support the planning and development process and should have a detailed understanding of the built environment and design process. You should be experienced in assessment work, including application of the GLVIA methodology, and have a strong interest in urban design and townscape issues. More experienced candidates will also be experienced in work-winning, building sound client relationships and managing a range of projects. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ideally basic knowledge of using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
