Women in Property South East Branch AGM
Press release: 27 February 2013
Our London office hosted the AGM of the South East Branch of Women in Property on Wednesday 27 February. Mandy Brooks, Global Retail Director of Agent Provocateur, was a guest speaker.
The event was attended by delegates from companies such as Eversheds, Cushman & Wakefield, Mishcon De Reya, Studio Seilern Architects, Barr Gazetas and Eldridge Smerin.
The outgoing chair of the branch, Heather Powell from Kingston Smith, provided a review of the branch activities for 2012/13, which included running 54 events, the student awards and the mentoring programme. The latter is co-ordinated by Katy Neaves of Turley.
Heather went on to welcome Lindsay Morgan, from Norton Rose LLP, as incoming Branch Chairman for 2013/14.
Mandy Brooks provided a summary of her career having had over 30 years’ experience in the luxury retail sector, with various businesses including Joseph, Whistles, LK Bennett and Liberty prior to her appointment at Agent Provocateur. Mandy said that since joining Agent Provocateur in 2008 the business has been relatively untouched by the recession.
She went on to explain the service and ethos of the brand, and how America is the company’s number one growth market, closely followed by Russia. Her talk ended with a question and answer session that revealed that the Agent Provocateur ‘Classics’ range made up 40% of the business turn over.
