On Friday 30 June Turley co-owners were out volunteering and raising funds for local charities in celebration of national Employee Ownership Day.

EO Day not only seeks to celebrate employee ownership in the UK but also provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the economic benefits and positive impact which employee-owned companies have on the UK economy. In this spirit, Turley pledged to spend the day giving back, organising a number of fundraising events for 10 different charities.

With all 11 Turley offices signed up, the day saw some interesting activities, including undertaking a DIY SOS at a local primary school in Birmingham, the London team participating in the JLL Property Triathlon, and making beds at a night shelter in Bristol.

All in all our co-owners enjoyed some time out in the community raising money and volunteering. The charities we supported are:

Chrysta Poppitt, Senior Director, HR said “Our impact on the communities that we work in is important to us which is why we are supporting charities in our localities. By doing this we are reinforcing the entrepreneurial spirit and social responsibility of the company’s founders.”
